Easy Banana Bread
Easy and reliable, with only one bowl and no mixer needed, this easy banana bread recipe is the perfect way to use up those overripe bananas sitting on your counter! Made with simple pantry staples and mixed together in just one bowl, this homemade banana bread comes out soft, moist, and perfectly sweet every time.
Ingredients
3 very ripe bananas, mashed
⅓ cup (75 g) melted butter
¾ cup (150 g) sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking soda
Pinch of salt
1½ cups (190 g) all-purpose flour
Optional: ½ cup chocolate chips or chopped walnuts
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
Mash bananas in a large bowl, then stir in melted butter.
Mix in sugar, egg, and vanilla.
Stir in baking soda and salt.
Add flour and gently mix just until combined. Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if using.
Pour into the loaf pan and bake for 50–60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then remove and let cool before slicing.
